A New Beginning

"It's the most wonderful time of the year!" No I'm not talking about Christmas, it's way to early for that (Costco already has it's decorations out on display...CRAZY!), but I'm talking about beginning of the school year. Now I know there are plenty of students who will not agree with me, but I believe that it is one of the greatest times of the year, especially for a youth pastor. Many new beginnings are taking place as we speak (or as you read this).

First of all, students are back from vacation, and will be filling the seats at Oasis on Friday nights. As you might have already noticed, we have a brand new website, with a brand new logo for Oasis. It's incredible, and it makes me so excited. Also, as I write this, my wife and I are waiting for our first child. We are so excited to find out if we are having a boy or a girl. Only negative is we will be missing out on the Oasis Kickoff Service, but that is alright, it will still be amazing with Pastor Brian Aiken from City Church speaking.

Finally, this time of year is amazing because you go back to school, and are face to face with all your friends who have not experienced the LOVE of God that you have experienced, and you now have every opportunity to share that with them. What would be greater then seeing your whole school changed because of the testimony that you have living inside of you. "God so loved the world, that He gave His one and only Son". Important to understand He did not just die for you, but for the world, which means every student, every teacher, every administrator.

I am so excited to see how your life is impacted this year! Get ready for an incredible journey at Oasis this year!!!!
