Pastor Adam's blog

It's been a while

As we can all see, it has been a while since i've posted something on here, so I hope you have not given up on reading this blog.

Ignite

Friday October 2 has come and gone, which means that Ignite has come and gone, but wow, what an amazing night. We saw about 350 students come threw the doors that night. Every aspect of the night seemed to go so well.

Not what you want to write

It is with great sadness that i write this blog today. Sunday afternoon I was informed about a car accident that took place and took the lives of three teens and one more still in hospital. No matter if you know anyone involved or you just heard about it, this is a very sad event. I would encourage all of you to be praying for the families directly impacted, for the friends, and for the students at Sir Wil. Also continue to pray for the one still in hospital. This will not be easy, but hold on to the One who gives us strength and peace.

How Hungry Are You?

You ever been so hungry where it hurt? So hungry that wouldn't let anything or anyone stop you from getting some food? Friday Night at Oasis we talked about increasing our hunger for God's presence. There are so many times where God is wanting so desperately to show up in our services or even in our personal life, but unfortunately, we cover up our hunger so we don't look crazy or hurt our reputation.

A New Beginning

"It's the most wonderful time of the year!" No I'm not talking about Christmas, it's way to early for that (Costco already has it's decorations out on display...CRAZY!), but I'm talking about beginning of the school year. Now I know there are plenty of students who will not agree with me, but I believe that it is one of the greatest times of the year, especially for a youth pastor. Many new beginnings are taking place as we speak (or as you read this).
